Common questions
- How do the free walks work?
- Your first 10 real walks are free with every feature. Walks under a minute never count, so an accidental tap costs nothing. After 10, starting a new walk needs Premium. Everything you already recorded stays viewable forever.
- How do I cancel Premium?
- Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open iOS Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions, choose Sniffari, and cancel. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
- How does iCloud sync work?
- Turn on Sign in with Apple in Sniffari and make sure your phone is signed in to iCloud. Your walks mirror to your private iCloud database and appear on any device signed in with the same Apple Account. We cannot read that database.
- Does Sniffari save walks to Apple Health?
- Yes, if you turn it on in Settings › Apple Health. Each real walk is saved as an Outdoor Walk with distance and route. Sniffari reads nothing from Health.
- How do I delete my data?
- Swipe a walk in History to delete it, or use Settings › Delete All Walks. Settings › Delete Account & Data removes your walks and your dog from the device and from iCloud. Deleting the app removes everything on the device.
- Why does the app ask for location?
- Only while recording a walk, to measure the route and distance. Choose “Allow While Using App” with Precise Location on. Background location keeps the walk recording when your phone is locked.
